Wichita police arrest a man they think is responsible for tire slashings in Old Town. An officer noticed the man standing near a car in the 200 block of N. Washington around 1:00 Friday morning.
The man was acting suspiciously, so the officer approached him...and noticed he was holding a knife. The officer stopped and questioned him and realized the tires of at least four cars in the area had been slashed.
Police don't know if any other cars in the area were vandalized.
The 24-year-old man was arrested for vandalism and other charges.
Anyone whose car was damaged in Old Town overnight is asked to contact police.
