A 67-year-old truck driver is killed after a semi crash in Meade County Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 2:45 Wednesday on US 54 just east of the K-98 junction. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the driver, Herman C. Anderson, Jr. of Tennessee, was headed east on US 54 when he drove left of center and into a ditch. The truck kept going until it drove off of a 38-foot railroad cut and jackknifed.
KHP says the truck came to rest on it's wheels on the railroad tracks.
No one else was hurt. No word on why the driver lost control in the first place.
