Wichita police believe they have the man responsible for three overnight robberies.
The first happened at 10:00 Wednesday night at the Sonic in the 1200 block of N. Broadway.
Police say the robber went into the business through the front door. He was carrying a gun and demanded cash. At least two people were inside the building. They were able to give him some cash.
Eyewitnesses say they saw the robber leave and walk across the street to meet with a second person who was at the KC Gas Station across the street. The two men then walked away.
Then, at around 4:55 Thursday morning, someone walked into the Quik Trip in the 2000 block of S. Broadway. He pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. He left with what police describe as a small amount of cash.
Police found a wallet belonging to someone who matched the robber's description just north of the Quik Trip store.
Then, a few minutes after 8:00 Thursday morning, a man walked into the Spangles in the 600 block of N. Broadway with a gun. He took some cash and left on foot.
Police were able to find the man in that area shortly after the latest robbery. He was taken into custody and questioned about all three robberies.
Police believe all three robberies are connected, but there's no word yet if the man they took into custody has been arrested.
