COLUMBIA, Mo.—
A jury has acquitted a 28-year-old man in the shooting death of Aaron Hobson of Wichita.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that the sequestered Platte County jury found Tony Lewis innocent Saturday, on day six of the trial in Boone County Circuit Court. Lewis was the last of eight co-defendants to face charges in the 2010 death of Aaron Hobson,.
Hobson was visiting Columbia in October 2010 to watch his cousin, Trey Hobson, play in a Missouri game. Hobson was meeting friends at a convenience store when he was robbed and shot.
Daron Peal has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for shooting Hobson.
