Local police officers battle with firefighters to see who can donate the most blood. It's the annual Battle of the Badges blood drive.
Each side face off to see who can bring in the most donors. Although law enforcement won the battle last year, firefighters say they'll take home the title this time.
"We won it back to back one year. Two years in a row. Now they've won again, so it's our time to get it back. We hope the community will help us," said Wichita Fire Chief Ron Blackwell.
Anyone who donates blood can vote for either firefighters or police officers. Both sides say it doesn't matter, it's about helping the community.
If you do donate, you'll receive a free t-shirt. The American Red Cross says this battle comes at a good time because blood donations typically decline in December with the holidays.
