UPDATE: A woman has been charged for her role in connection to shooting a Sedgwick County deputy.

Prosecutors charged Clara Crosser with three counts of attempted first-degree murder. She was arrested Monday evening after a 33-year-old deputy was shot in the eye.  The shooting happened after a chase in Butler County.

Crosser also faces seven additional charges related to the chase and shooting incident. She is charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, criminal threat, attempt to flee and elude, burglary, possession of methamphetamine and criminal damage to property.

She remains jailed on $1 million bond. Crosser will return to court March 28 for a preliminary hearing.

A Distrcit Court judge held a first appearance in a medical facility for co-defendent Jason Perez. He faces the same charges as Crosser, but was also charged with possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of firearms.  A judge set Perez' bond at $1 million. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 28.

One of the two suspects arrested in connection with the shooting of a Sedgwick County deputy will appear in court Friday.

Clara Crosser will make her first appearance at 1:30 in Sedgwick County.  She was arrested Monday evening after a 33-year-old deputy was shot in the eye.  The shooting happened after a chase in Butler County.

The deputy is out of the hospital.

A second suspect, Jason Perez is being held in the Sedgwick County jail on suspcion of attempted first degree murder.  He was booked in Thursday after being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound.  There's no word on when he'll make his first appearance.
