Police say they have two people in custody in connection with a Labor Day shooting in northeast Wichita.
The shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. at a home in the 1100 block of north Green. Investigators say a 30-year-old man was working in front of his home, when he was shot twice, once in the back and once in the leg.
The man was taken to a Wichita hospital where he is in serious condition. Police say two 19-year-old men were taken in for questioning in the connection with the shooting. At this point, no one has been charged in the shooting.
Investigators say a 57-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy were also at the home when the shooting happened; neither were hurt.
