(BURRTON, Kan.)—
A fire destroyed the Paradise Grill in Burrton Sunday night.
Owner Nancy Schmitt tells Eyewitness News Reporter Brian Heapshe heard about the fire around 8:10pm. The restaurant was open Sunday between 11:00 and 2:00 pm.
Schmitt has owned the restaurant since late July, when she bought it from a family friend. She says the business had been doing well and received a lot of community support.
She hopes to rebuild Burrton's only restaurant.
"We've got to do it for the community and for us and make it bigger and better," Schmitt said.
