An Argonia woman has died after a crash involving a semi in Sumner County.

Crews responded to the scene on Highway 160, about a mile east of Argonia, around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Linda Haskin, 57, was driving west, when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a semi. The vehicle lost control, sliding into the ditch and striking a guard rail. The vehicle came to rest on its top in the bottom of the creek.

Haskin died at the scene. Two passengers, Samantha Haskin, 21, and Keegan Barkley, 3 months were also hurt. Samantha was flown to a Wichita hospital for treatment. The baby remains hospitalized at Sumner Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the semi, Jeremy Perry, 30, of Valley Center, was not hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
