Police said a man who was arrested earlier this week for posing as a Wichita Police officer online plans to "retaliate."
Officers arrested the 28-year-old man Wednesday for impersonating an officer on his Facebook page. Police said he claimed to be an officer under the occupation section of his page.
The man was being held on charges of impersonating an officer. Records indicate he is no longer in the Sedgwick County jail.
Investigators said the man called police on Thursday, saying he was not happy with the media coverage surrounding his arrest. The man told police he would "retaliate" for releasing the information.
Officers have issued an officer safety advisory. Police did not say whether the man could be arrested again to face additional charges.
The case remains under investigation.
