No answers yet for family and friends of Kaitlin Brown. Her grandmother prepares to attend Kaitlin's funeral, as police in Missouri investigate why the 19-year-old died in her dorm room.
Kaitlin was a sophomore at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri.
"The cops, when we talk to them, their word is suspicious--it looks suspicious," Georgi Hollins says.
Her grandmother says Kaitlin attended Arkansas City High School until her junior year, when she moved to the Kansas City area to live with her dad and continue her schooling there. She was on the basketball team and involved in a number of other school and church activities.
Police are releasing scant details, other than saying someone found Kaitlin's body in her dorm room at around 2:30 Saturday morning.
Kaitlin was majoring in business and information technology. Now, those close to her are shocked and puzzled by her death, hoping the mystery soon comes to an end.
No word yet on results of the autopsy.
The funeral takes place in Washington, Illinois on Sunday.
