A Wichita man has died in a head-on crash with a semi south of Wichita.
Emergency crews responded to the scene near 119th and Broadway around 3:45 p.m. Friday.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff's department said a 42-year-old man driving an SUV crossed the center line and hit the tractor trailer. Witnesses told investigators that the northbound vehicle drifted a couple of times before collided with the southbound semi.
The man died at the scene. The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.
Officials shutdown traffic in the area for several hours while crews cleared the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
