It's an event that will help abused kids, but could also land you on an episode of the TNT series, The Closer.

The Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County is teaming up with Doug Buchanan to hold a fundraiser this Friday. The event will be held at a $2.3 million home, built by Buchanan. Friday's fundraiser will cost $100 dollars and include a strolling buffet.

"It will be a fun relaxing evening," said Diana Schunn, CAC Executive Director. "We'll have a live auction, a silent auction and just  time to be able to enjoy the beautiful space."

Among the items to be auctioned off will be the chance to appear in the season finale episode of The Closer, thanks to help from the Brian David Higby Foundation.

"It's a walk-on part that is a non-speaking part, but it also includes airfare and a limo ride and a hotel stay. So, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity," adds Schunn.

Following Friday's event, people will be able to tour the home from 1:00-5:00, each day, through October 2. It will cost $10 a person and all the money will go directly to the CAC, who's mission is to help abused children.

"The money will help support services, continuation of therapy, referrals for therapy, referrals for access to medical care as well as being able to help the families process this difficult time."

Tickets for Friday's event, or the tours, can be purchased through Mary Starkey - 316-337-6598, mstarkey@cacsckansas.org and Diana Schunn  - 316-337-6593, dschunn@cacsckansas.org
