A couple that ran a combination beauty shop and gun store in Augusta plead guilty to federal firearms charges.

The U.S. Attorney says Jeffrey Eberhart pleaded guilty to one count of dealing firearms without a license. His wife, Tracey Eberhart, pleaded guilty to one count of failing to keep records of firearms transactions.

The Eberharts ran Tracey's Dream Weavers Salon and Sporting Goods in Augusta. It advertised "where beauty and bullets collide". The ATF raided the salon last year.

In the plea, the U.S. Attorney says Jeffrey Eberhart admitted that he bought and sold hundreds of firearms at both the store and gun shows between Oct. 2009 and Aug. 2012. Eberhart was not licensed as a federal firearms dealer since he was a convicted felon.

Tracey Eberhart's plea says, while she held a license as a federal firearms dealer, she failed to keep records and make reports to the ATF on at least 33 firearms transactions.

The couple will be sentenced April 15. Prosecutors will recommend five years in federal prison for Jeffrey Eberhart and three years probation for Tracey Eberhart.
