As the state announces more projects as part of the new 10-year transportation plan, there is a new way you can track the progress.
Kansas now has a new T-WORKS website. People can see all scheduled highway, transit, rail and aviation projects under the T-WORKS program. They can also find out how much money is being spent in each county and when projects will begin and end.
"It's really neat because all the projects, whether they're modernization, expansion or preservation projects, they will be all detailed on the website," said Kimberly Qualls, KDOT's public affairs manager. "And so as the 10 years moves along, everybody will be able to track the progress."
Not all of the projects for the 10-year program have been picked. You can also leave comments or ask questions on the site.
