The United States Postal Service releases a new list of 3,700 post office locations its considering closing, including 134 in Kansas.
The offices being studied are generally lower traffic offices, many in small towns. The move comes as the USPS looks to improve its financial picture.
In Kansas the post offices being studied at for possible closure or replacement include offices in Sylvia, Viola, Cassoday, Coolidge, Ensign, Garfield, Gaylord and Kanorado. The list does not include Yoder, Geuda Springs or Hudson, towns which had heard before post offices could be facing closure.
