(WICHITA, Kan.)—
A Wichita police officer is suffers a bump to the head during a pursuit with a motorcycle.
Sedgwick County dispatchers say the officer tried to pull over the motorcycle rider just after 10:00 on Monday. The rider did not stop and fled the scene. The officer chased the motorcycle at speeds of up to 70 mph.
The chase ended in a construction zone near 13th and Chautauqua when the officer crashed his car.
The motorcycle rider got away, but police have a description of the bike and recovered some items dropped by the rider during the chase.
No one else was hurt.
