One person dies after a deadly accident in Norton County just after midnight Sunday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two people were in a car in Almena when the driver lost control. Their vehicle left the roadway, hit a sign and landed in a creek bottom. It rolled then came to a rest after colliding with a railroad bridge. The car then caught fire.
Passenger Christopher Hall was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was air-lifted to a hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. It's not known if the two were wearing their seatbelts.
