(HUTCHINSON, Kan.)—
Hutchinson police want to warn people about a scam that's hit the area.
They have received several calls of people getting texts about a problem with their bank account. The number provided for them to call is (561) 232-3007. This directs people to an automated system asking for them to provide their bank card number.
The text is coming from out of state. Officials say it appears to be a scam. They are encouraging anyone who got this text not to call and contact their bank if there is a problem with their bank card.
