There were record high temperatures in Wichita for Thanksgiving day.
The thermometer creeped up to 75 degrees, which made for a very active holiday in the city.
Before football and turkey, runners got an early start a the 2nd annual "Say Grace Thanksgiving Day 5K."
"I was looking forward o the race, I drug them all out here." runner Dana Loveland said.
Later in the day, parents and grandparents took their children to the Sedgwick County Park to keep them out of the way of Thanksgiving preparations.
"Clean them out so everyone else else can do the cooking," Bill Moore said.
"We are just getting out and letting her get some energy out before we settle in and eat some turkey," Randy Blair, who took his daughter to the park, said.
The families were enjoying the unseasonably warm weather "it's supposed to be turning cold so we are taking advantage of the little bit of warm weather we have left," Blair said.
With tired kids, and parents families can have a relaxing evening.
