What originally appeared to be a stand-off involving police in Hutchinson Sunday, was actually a search for a gunman.
A clerk at a Kwik Shop called 911 after a man came in saying someone shot at him. When police arrived, they searched the home where the man said the incident happened. It appeared that one shot was fired inside the home, but no one was hurt.
People inside the home said the shooter left.
Several blocks near 17th and Plum Street were closed for a couple of hours early Sunday afternoon while police searched for the man.
