Wichita police are still looking for two men after a woman was shot in the face in west Wichita. Police say the woman was shot through the door of a home in the 400 block of S. Edwards late Wednesday.
Paramedics took her to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in critical condition.
The shooting happened around 8:30 at a home just a few blocks west of Friends University.
Police say two men showed up at the home wanting to speak to the man who lives there. When the man inside refused, one of the suspects fired into the door, striking the man's girlfriend.
The man in the home told police he did not know the the gunman or his accomplice.
Investigators say the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
