Kansas vs. Wichita State could soon be a reality.
State Senator Michael O'Donnell plans to introduce a bill Tuesday that requires the University of Kansas to play Wichita State in men's and women's basketball. If the teams do not play each other, the schools would lose state funding.
"Obviously WSU and KU are both some of the best programs in America, and since we're so close it makes sense just to make sure the teams are playing each other," O'Donnell said.
The teams have not played each other since 1993.
