(WICHITA, Kan.)—
A Wichita cab company is offering free rides on New Year's Eve to help curb drunk driving.
AAA and the Best Cab of Wichita will provide a ride home between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The organization wants people to arrange a ride home before they start drinking, and to use the "Care Cabs" as a backup plan.
"IF you plan to drink, don't drive. If you plan to drive, don't drink," said Jim Hanni, AAA spokesman. "Make sure that you plan ahead and designate a driver and arrange for a driver in advance."
To use the service, just call 1-800-AAA-Help, and ask for a care cab ride.
