What do Wichita nuns think about the new pope?

We talked with Sister Mary Faustina, who teaches at Bishop Carroll in Wichita.

She says she and her students took a break from class to watch the pope's debut live...and she calls the unveiling a surprise, "And we were waiting for the smoke and waiting for him to come out of the curtains. and when he came out and the little guy announced his name we were like who is that guy?"

Sister Mary says she's since researched Pope Francis and finds him fascinating.

Her hope for the future....more focus on the youth, "A lot of people realize, even in our educational system, that our future lies in the youth. and the church is no different. If we don't educate our youth, if they're not involved in the church then our future is kind of dim."

Sister Mary says the last two popes did a good job of reaching out to young people...and she hopes Francis continues where they left off.
