Changes may be coming to Kansas' anti-bullying statute.
A state law passed in 2007 requires each school district to come up with its own bullying policy.
A Senate committee is considering legislation requiring a uniform, statewide policy. Supporters say the current law has to many gaps.
The new bill would speed up investigations and require districts to report findings to the State Board of Education.
Opponents say the bill would interfere with local control.
