A group of about 100 people attended a town hall meeting in Wichita Tuesday to talk about Governor Brownback’s proposed changes to Medicaid. People affected by the changes are scheduled to discuss the impact to mental health, aging, education, as well as MRDD services.

Some speakers at the program say they are worried about the lack of details being provided by the Governor’s office and the resulting quality of care.

Among those concerned is Kathy Cash. She's already being forced to move into a small home and worries that the help she needs to live with her bipolar disorder is in jeopardy. Cash says she and those like her need to contact legislators to make their voices known.
