2012 in recalls: Trader Joe's, Red Vines, baby seats, coffeemaker

Consumers saw some popular brands hit by recalls this year. Trade Joe's had to pull dozens of peanut, cashew and almond butter products due to salmonella fears, followed by a recall of nearly 5,000 pounds of its Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice offering amid listeria concerns. Safety worries also bedeviled brands such as Red Vines, Bumbo baby seats, Mr. Coffee brewers and Pfizer birth control pills. Here, a look at some major scares in 2012.
