ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. -

An arrest was made after a drive-by shooting in Arkansas City.

Officers responded just before 11 o'clock Tuesday night in the 200 block of North 3rd Street to reports of gunshots. Later, police found a house in the 100 block of North 3rd had been struck by several bullets. A large window was struck inside a room where a woman and child were sleeping in bed.

As officers were on the scene, the suspect drove by the area. After talking with several witnesses and watching a video, officers arrested 21 year-old Ryan Lee Anaya of Ark City, on various charges, including endangerment of a child.

Police also found the handgun that was used in an alley. There were two adults also in the house along with the child, but no one was hurt.
