Scott anchors Eyewitness News This Morning with Kara Sewell. He also reports for the evening newscasts. He joined the team in 2014.
Even though he lived in Kansas as a boy, he considers this a new adventure.
He comes to KWCH from Boise, Idaho where he reported and anchored for KTVB for seven years. Prior to Idaho Scott worked with an investigative unit at KSL in Salt Lake City.
Scott has won dozens of awards during his career, but to him, the stories he's told and the lives he's impacted are the reasons he does what he does.
Scott studied broadcast journalism at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. College was just a half an hour away from where he grew up.
Journalism is in Scott's blood. Both of his parents are or used to be in the news business. His mom was an anchor at a station in Idaho in the late 70's while is father just entered the Utah Broadcasters Hall of Fame for his 25 years in Salt Lake City. Scott hopes to follow in his father's footsteps not necessarily in Utah, but being a staple for a community.
When not reporting the news Scott loves being out in the community helping to make it a better place. If that involves sports all the better.
He's been married for nearly a decade and has five children, the youngest born two weeks before he started at KWCH.
He looks forward to calling Wichita his new home.
