RENO COUNTY, Kan. -

A Haven woman has died in three vehicle crash south of Hutchinson.

The accident happened just after 8 a.m. Tuesday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said 85-year-old Ollie Richey was flown by medical helicopter to Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, where she died from her injuries within hours of the crash. The driver, 92-year-old James Richey of Haven, was taken to Hutchinson Regional Hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

Investigators said Richey failed to stop at the stop sign and pulled in front of a southbound SUV on Arlington Road and K-14. The driver of the SUV, 30-year-old, Brooksie Conroy of McPherson, was treated at the scene, while the driver of a pickup truck, 63-year-old Neill Unruh of Haviland, was not hurt.

Unruh was stopped at the stop sign on eastbound Arlington Road and was struck by the SUV. Troopers said everyone in the accident had their seat belts on.
