COFFEYVILLE, Kan. -

A refinery fire in southeast Kansas has left four people hurt.  It happened at CVR Refinery in Coffeyville just after midnight.

Crews took about an hour to get the fire out.

Kent Bastian with the Coffeyville Fire Department told a media outlet in Tulsa that four people were hurt.  All of them suffered burns and had to be flown to a hospital outside the area for treatment.  Some of those burns are considered serious.

Bastian says there was no explosion and no one was evacuated.  He says something went wrong in one of the refineries and that somehow sparked a fire.
