SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. -

Dozens of drivers have been cited during an extra enforcement program for the Thanksgiving holiday travel week. Kansas law enforcement officers, including the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department, conducted saturation patrols to enforce traffic laws.

Deputies issued 92 seat belt tickets and three child restraint citations during the STEP program Nov. 25 through Dec. 1. Twenty drivers were also arrested for various offenses, seven of those were DUI related.

This is a special grant program sponsored by the Kansas Department of Transportation. The other two traffic enforcement programs will be announced in the future
