Following the announcement that Texton laid off 750 workers today, Airbus representatives say they also plan to cut jobs in Wichita by the end of the year.
Mary Anne Gretczyn, Airbus communications manager, said the aviation company will be downsizing the engineering staff and that most of the cuts will be made in the supply chain.
Gretczyn says she doesn't know when the layoffs will be made or how many jobs will be eliminated. She does say that this type of change is not unusual for the aviation industry.
Gretczyn confirms that the cuts will be made by the end of the year, and that specific numbers can't be discussed because they haven't yet been determined.
