Armed man robs Ark City convenience store

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. -

Authorities from Arkansas City are looking for a man accused of robbing a convenience store.

It happened at Casey's General Store, 625 W. Madison, around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said a man armed with a gun walked in to the store demanding money. A clerk gave the robber money; the suspect ran away.

The suspect was last seen headed south in the alley towards Monroe Street. He is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years in age, 200 to 225 pounds, 5'6" to 5'10" tall, wearing a gray pullover hoody sweatshirt with the hood over a cap with a red bill, black sweat pants, tan lace up work style boots, and the subject may have a slight amount of facial hair in the form of a goatee.
