The Sedgwick County election commissioner will present a certification of signatures for a decriminalization of marijuana petition to the City of Wichita City Clerk on Friday.
Eyewtiness News contacted Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman Thursday evening.
She said she would be certifying the number to the city on Friday, but could not discuss the number of valid signatures.
"Everyone will find out tomorrow at 9. As for the options the City has, that is not my area of expertise, those questions would be best directed at the city."
If the petition has enough signatures - the city council has three options - approve the change themselves, legally challenge the petition or put the question on the November ballot.
