WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita City leaders have approved a multi-million dollar revenue bond project for a local plane manufacturer.

The $52 million dollar incentive project will help pay for a new paint facility and a flight test center expansion at Bombardier Learjet. Of that, $1 million will be used as a grant for employee parking lots on airport land.

Bombardier officials said the expansion will create 450 new jobs through 2018.

Jeff Blubaugh, vice mayor, approved the measure, thanking Bombardier for their continued footprint in the Air Capital.

"I think its very important to point out we're not only talking about growing their buildings, their infrastructure, but the 450 jobs and how many hundreds of tier 1 and tier 2 supplies that those jobs contribute to," he said.

The city approved Bombardier's request unanimously.
