WICHITA, Kan. -

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be the featured speaker at the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting on December 4.

Rice was the 66th Secretary of the United States under President George W. Bush. She was the first African American woman to hold the position.

2014 Chamber Chairman Wayne Chambers says Rice's visit is an opportunity for Wichita.

"A well-educated workforce drives economic development and Dr. Rice is well-known for her expertise and passion for education. We're very focused on helping area businesses increase their expertise in exporting and we believe we can also benefit from her global perspective."

The meeting is set to take place on December 4 from 6-9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $115 each for dinner and reserved seating. Program-only tickets range from $35 to $55. Tickets may be ordered online at www.wichitachamber.org.
