DODGE CITY, Kan. -

Organizers in Dodge City attempted to set a world record today by having the largest cattle drive go down a main street.

The event happened this morning as part of Dodge City days. The city is a top exporter of livestock.

"Our goal is to show Dodge City and to remind Dodge City and our tourists about our history," Kari Casterline, Marketing Manager Boot Hill Casino said. "So with our Longhorns and driving them down Wyatt Earp we're reminiscing of what it was in the 1800's."

More than 60 Longhorns made their way through the city's main roads where spectators got the opportunity to see the display of Wild West heritage.
