WICHITA, Kan. -

Residents were displaced and a dog is missing after a duplex fire in north Wichita.

Wichita firefighters arrived at the residence in near 37th and Woodlawn to find heavy smoke coming from the attic.

Crews were able to put out the fire, but say there was fire damage to both units.

The Red Cross was called out to help those displaced by the fire.

One man said his dog, Bella, ran away when firefighters broke through his door. She's described as a 4-year-old Chihauhau and Pug mix.

Fire crews say they have no damage estimate or cause on the fire.

No one was hurt.
