WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police are searching for two suspects after an aggravated battery at IHOP overnight.

It happened at the restaurant in the 3500 block of north Rock Road around 3 a.m.

One male and one female victim say a fight broke out with another couple as they were walking into IHOP.

Police say a teenage female grabbed another female by the hair, pulling her to the ground while punching and hitting her. This caused blood vessels in the victim's right eye to burst according to Sgt. Ron Hunt with the Wichita Police Department.

Hunt says two males intervened, resulting in a cut from a knife on the male suspects arm.

During the altercation, someone showed a semi-automatic handgun according to police. A nearby witness reached out and stopped the suspect from withdrawing the gun.

Both the male and female suspects left going northbound on Rock road driving a brown Ford 500.
