KINGMAN, Kan. -

A former Kingman police officer is arrested on child pornography charges.

According Kingman County Sheriff Randy Hill, 41-year-old Dustin D. Morris of Kingman was arrested for soliciting sexual exploitation of a child, possessing visual depiction of a child under 18 years of age and distributing visual depiction of a child under 18 years of age.

The Sheriff's Office says the arrest came through a joint investigation between the Kingman County Sheriff's Office, the Wichita Police Department and the Ford County Sheriff's Office.

The Kingman Police Department says the incident Morris is accused of happened after his time with the department.

Morris was arrested and booked into the Kingman County Jail on Tuesday.  He was then released on $100,000 bond.

The case will be turned over to the Kingman County Attorney for formal charges.
