The Sedgwick County Health Department will host a free MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination clinic in response to the recent outbreak.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, July 19 at 2716 W. Central, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No out-of-pocket fees will be charged. However Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance will be filed if available.

This clinic is intended to bring the general public up-to-date on measles vaccinations. Children receive their first dose of the measles vaccination around 12 to 15 months, and another booster around four to six years old.

Anyone who thinks they have the measles is asked not to attend this clinic. Instead, call your health provider or the Sedgwick County Health Department Measles Information Line at 316-660-7424 for instructions.
