GARDEN CITY, Kan. -

A Garden City man is arrested on drug, assault and child endangerment charges after police say he pulled a gun on a repo man last week.

Police say officers responded to a report of an Aggravated Assault at the Law Enforcement Center at around 9:00 on July 17.

According to their investigation, the victim went to a home in the 3200 block of Campus Drive in an attempt to repo a vehicle. As the victim was attempting to pick up the vehicle, he was approached by the vehicle's owner.

The owner, identified as 27-year-old Darrel Williams, became upset after being shown the repo order. Police say Williams grabbed a handgun from the car and threatened the victim.

The victim took off in his car, with the suspect giving chase in his vehicle. Police say, while giving chase, the Williams held the gun out of the window. The victim drove straight to the Law Enforcement Center, prompting the suspect to leave the area.

Police were not able to catch him that day, but they did arrest him without incident at his home the following day.

The vehicle that was supposed to be repoed was found hidden at another location in Garden City.

Police went through the suspect's vehicles and home and found several guns, one of which was reported stolen during a burglary earlier this year. Police also found 246 grams of marijuana and other evidence in the home.

Police also determined Williams had two small children in the home that had easy access to the firearms and drugs. He was also wanted in Kay County, Oklahoma on cocaine trafficking charges.

Williams was booked into the Finney County Jail on several charges.
