The body of a jet skier has been pulled out of a northeast Kansas lake.

Authorities were called to Hillsdale Lake Sunday morning after family reported he didn't come home overnight. KCTV reports the man and a friend had been jet skiing when the friend left the lake about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The man stayed to continue jet skiing.

His body was recovered about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, the sheriff's office said. His name has not been released, but authorities said he is a 57-year-old man from Gardner.

An autopsy will determine whether the man drowned or suffered a medical condition.

This is the second drowning at Hillsdale Lake this season. A father drowned at the lake when he jumped in to retrieve a toy.
