GARDEN CITY, Kan. -

A Garden City man has been arrested after a brief standoff with police.

Officers were called to the home to the report of shots fired in the 2300 block of North Seventh Street just after 5:30 p.m. July 25. Police said an argument turned violent, and a man got a gun from a bedroom. He threatened family members, including two children, and fired a shot.

The man surrendered a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident. No one was hurt.

Jail records indicate Aaron Findley, 28, was arrested and booked on attempted murder, criminal threat, aggravated child endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and possession of cocaine.
