CLAY CENTER, Kan. -

Authorities in northeast Kansas are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a 13-year-old girl.

It happened near a school in Clay Center Sunday. Bill Robinson, Chief of Police, said the man approached the young girl walking outside Lincoln School. The girl said the man tried to grab her, but she ran away.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 20 to 30 years old, about six-feet tall with a thin build. He has dark hair and a "big nose." The man was last seen wearing a red shirt with black stars and blue jeans. The man is said to be driving a white two-door pickup.
