SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. -

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says someone broke into a home in the south part of the county on May 30 and stole a dog.

The incident was reported by the dog's owner. The homeowner told deputies a man entered a house, near 11500 S. Broadway and took Hershey, a one-year-old chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel Hershey. The dog has shorter hair then what is depicted in the picture because he recently had a haircut.

The homeowner yelled out to the man, but the man put the dog into a tan 90's model Chevrolet pick-up and left north bound on Broadway.

Hershey is said to be valued at $600. Anyone with more information about his whereabouts is asked to the call the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
