Sedgwick County fire crews were called out to a house fire west of Haysville Monday morning.

The call came in just before 7:00 when a neighbor reported seeing heavy smoke coming from behind the home. Assistance from Wichita Police Department was also called to respond.

Firefighters responded to 6100 W. 73rd St. where they found heavy smoke coming from the house and large flames confined inside the home.

Crews were able to make quick work of the fire and it was out in a short time. The damage was confined to the back of the home but investigators estimate the damage to be about $30,000.

No one was home at the time of the fire, so no one was hurt.

There's no word yet on a cause.
