Less than a week after the announcement, Kansas has canceled its upcoming concert at the Kansas Star Arena.
The Kansas Star Arena was informed this morning by Kansas’ management company that due to routing complications the concert scheduled for January 29, 2014 has been canceled.
Tikets were set to go on sale Saturday morning. All pre-sale tickets purchased through Ticket Master will be automatically refunded to the cardholder’s account.
The Kansas Star Arena announced today Classic Rock superstars Kansas will perform at the venue January 29th. The legendary band, formed in Topeka, is celebrating its 40th anniversary and will serve as the finale for the Kansas Star’s “Kansas Day” celebration.
Since the group’s formation in 1973, Kansas has produced eight gold albums, three six-times Platinum albums and one platinum live album. Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70's and ‘80's and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. Kansas is best known for hits such as “Dust in the Wind,” “Carry on Wayward Son,” and “Point of Know Return.”
The Kansas Star Arena will seat about 3,000 people for the January 29th Journey concert. Tickets start at $20 and go on sale Saturday, December 7th at 10:00am at the Kansas Star Arena Box Office or at www.kansasstararena.com. Along with regularly priced tickets, VIP Meet & Greet packages and premium ticket & merchandise packages are available at www.kansasband.com. In addition, ticket holders who are at least 21 years of age are eligible for $10 in free slot play on January 29th. Concert goers can bring their ticket to the Lucky Star Players Club anytime leading up to the show to receive the StarPlay on January 29th. Recipients must be a Lucky Star Players Club member and cannot collect StarPlay on multiple tickets. Kansas Star Arena is an all-age venue.
